Other Key Members of our Team

Calvin Austins holds a PhD. in Analytical Chemistry from Wayne State University, in Detroit Michigan. His areas of scientific interest are mass spectrometry (MS), high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC), gas chromatography(GC). He also has over 10 years of experience in analytical testing of small molecules. Calvin has 10 publications and has presented his work at regional and international conferences. After his PhD., Calvin work as a Research Associate in the Westrick lab at Wayne State University. He was responsible for investigated small molecule toxins (cyanotoxins) and polymers (PEG) using HPLC, where the focus was to improve and evaluate standard operating procedures in the literature to better separate complex mixtures for MS analysis. Calvin has a strong background analytical instrumentation and troubleshooting skills.

Dr. Volodymyr Golota holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the National Scientific Center, Kharkov Institute of Physics and Technology, Ukraine, and has held many academic and research positions during his 35 years of experience. His areas of scientific interest include plasma processing and plasma chemistry, DC and pulsed gas discharge, plasma kinetics, spectroscopy and chromatography of gas discharge. In addition, he has worked on the development of barrier-less plasma chemical reactors, high current electron and ion beams, capacitive deionization, and water treatment and desalination.

Raghavender Tummala, MSE in Mechanical Engineering and MSE in Automotive Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan. has over eight years of experience in the processing and characterization of nanomaterials for energy storage and optical/solar applications. He also leads our solid state battery research team focusing on plasma/laser hybrid manufacturing and radio-frequency atmospheric plasma technologies.
